WELCOME

We extend a warm greeting to everyone in our school community. At Cornell Village Public School, we create a learning environment that recognizes the development of character in our students as its central focus through integrated, balanced programs, based on the Ontario curriculum.

Our staff supports collaboration between the students, their families, the school, and the community in order to establish and maintain an open, trusting environment that promotes learning in our diverse community.

Our goal is to continuously increase student achievement and well-being through a culture of caring and learning, which emphasizes: positive relationships; safe and supportive schools; engagement of students, and the mental and physical well-being of students.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Please read the following health notice about Fifth disease at Cornell Village Public School.

Cornell Village P.S. raised $6180 for the The Legacy Run that supports Markham Stouffville Hospital.  Thank you to all who donated and helped to make this fund raiser a huge success.

Thank you for participating in the Parent School Climate Survey.  Here are the results for 2011-2012.  These results are used for school planning purposes.

We will be sending home Yearbook order forms this week, Due June 4th.  Looking for an extra copy of the form?

Great news, the Town of Markham has opened the sports fields for use.  As students have begun to use the fields at morning and lunch recesses, many students seem to have found various dog "deposits" while playing.  Please help out by "Stooping and Scooping" if walking your dogs.

Attention Grade 3 and Grade 6 parents, please be aware of our EQAO dates

A special thank you to all those parents and students who lent out skates and helmets to make our Alternate Winter Program a success.  As the Hockey seasons end, we are still looking for donated ice skates and helmets (All sizes - grades 1 to 8).  Thank you everyone who continue to support our Donate to Skate Program.

Check out our Character Recipient Awards for April INTEGRITY.
